Election day for runoffs Tuesday
Milam County voters will decide two primary races in a runoff election on May 28. Early voting begins May 20 for the election for County Tax Assessor-Collector and County Constable - Precinct 2.
Melissa Fritz and Frank Summers will face off in the County Tax Assessor-Collector race and Carlton R. Scott and Richard Doug Veach will face off in the constable’s race. Both will be on in the Republican primary.
There will also be a runoff election for Members, State Board of Education, District 10 between Tom Maynard and Mary Bone in the Republican Primary.
In the Democratic Primary there will be a runoff between Edward Smith and Maggie Ellis for Justice, 3rd Court of Appeals District, Place 2.
Early voting will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 20-24 at the Milam County Clerk’s Office, 806 N. Crockett in Cameron; and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 20, 21, 23, and 24, and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 22, at the following locations: the Rockdale George Hill Patterson Center, 609 Mills Street in Rockdale; Buckholts Community Center, 110 W. Main Street in Buckholts; and Thorndale Veterans Memorial Hall, 302 E. Moerbe in Throndale.
Election Day voting locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 28. Locations are: Cameron Housing Authority, 704 W 6th Street in Cameron; Buckholts Community Center, 110 W. Main Street in Buckholts; George Hill Patterson Center, 609 Mills Street in Rockdale; Thorndale Veterans Memorial Hall, 302 Moerbe Street in Thorndale; Milano VFD, 305 US 79 in Milano; and the Family Life Center, 112 N. Travis in Cameron.
