Yoemen move to 8-1 after defeating Thorndale, Troy
The 21st-ranked Yoemen got two more wins over the weekend defeating Thorndale on Friday night and Troy on Saturday.
The Yoemen defeated the Bulldogs 88-51 in Thorndale Friday night.
The Yoemen won the tip-off and got on the board first when Kaleb Burks scored two. Ke’Vaughn Booze then added two in a row to make the score 7-0 and Phaibian Bynaum and ZaKorien Spikes added a basket each to make the score 11-0 Yoemen.
Javoun Goldsby added a three-pointer to make it 14-0 before the Bulldogs would get on the board.
Blake Roberts got a three-pointer to put points on the board for Thorndale. Chance Betak followed that up with three of his own and Roberts added two more to make the score 14-8 Yoemen.
Booze then scored two more for the Yoemen, followed by Roberts with a free throw for the Bulldogs to make the score 16-9.
The score would be 19-15 Yoemen at the end of the first quarter.
Bynaum would start the second quarter off with a goal for the Yoemen, followed by a goal by Betak for the Bulldogs.
Spikes would score two more points before Azi Haynes would go on a scoring streak adding nine straight points to make the score 34-16 Yoemen.
Logan Davis would add four free throw points to the tally for the Bulldogs and then a goal to make the score 34-22 Yoemen.
The second quarter ended with a score of 38-30 Yoemen on top.
Booze, Bynaum, Haynes and Nolan Brashear would add points for the Yoemen in the third quarter to make the score 65-38 Yoemen at the end of the third.
Bynaum added ten points in the fourth quarter. J.W. Hollas added four free throw points and had two three-pointers.

The Yoemen took on Troy Saturday defeating them 95-43.
Six Yoemen scored double-digits. Booze had 22, Goldsby had 16, Bynaum had 13, Hollas had 12, Spikes had 11, and Haynes had 10.
The Yoemen move to 8-1 on the season.
