Chamber welcomes American Legion Post 9

The Cameron Chamber of Commerce welcomed The Edwin Hardy Post 9 of the American Legion in Cameron. The American Legion is the largest veteran's association in the world. The Edwin Hardy Post 9 was established in 1919. The American Legion Hut located in Ledbetter Park was built by the CCC in 1934 for the Edwin Hardy Post 9. Commander James McKimmey and the organization are making many updates to the facility. The organization supports veterans, their families and the community. Their funds are derived from memberships and various fundraisers. Don't miss the Veterans' Day Breakfast on Nov. 11. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m., a meal is shared before the meeting. Their Veterans and Friends Coffee is the third Thursday of each month at 10AM. All are welcome.
