MCT presents youth Christmas pageant Saturday
Milam Community Theater will present a hilarious Christmas classic, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” this Saturday and Sunday, then again the following week.
The production, which is part of the theater’s Youth Theater Program, features a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant, but is faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history. The mayhem – and the fun – is unbelievable when the Herdmans collide head-on with the story of Christmas.
This delightful show is adapted from the bestselling Young Adult book and has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States.
The crowd-pleasing comedy features plenty of great scenes with the young cast, a few favorite Christmas Carols and lots of laughs.
Tickets are available through the boxoffice on the MCT website (milamcommunitytheater.com) or at the door. The Dec. 7 and Dec. 14 shows are at 6 p.m. The curtain rises on the Dec. 8 and 15 performances at 2 p.m. All performances will be at the Williams Event Center in Cameron.
