The presentation of the Gold Star Awards began in 1933. It is the highest county achievement award a senior 4-Her can receive. The number of Gold Star Awards are based on the senior membership of the total 4-H enrollment.
This year the District granted Milam County two Gold Star Awards. As the senior membership grows it is very hard to select only three from Milam County. This year we had eight seniors apply for the Gold Star Award. We are very proud of each of the eight who applied and wish we could have given it to you all of you.
