23rd case of COVID-19 confirmed in Milam County

Milam County has its 23rd confirmed case of COVID-19.

County Judge Steve Young said this morning that yesterday evening the county was informed of a 23rd case.

The person is a local resident living in the central part of the county.  The person had pneumonia symptoms and went to a Bryan ER where they were tested and found to be positive for the virus. 

The person was hospitalized, but is now home and self-quarantined.  The Milam County Health Department is conducting its contact investigation to determine if anyone else connected to the case should be quarantined. 

Milam County now has 23 confirmed cases, one death and seven active cases.
