Brown Santa Program kicks off for 2020

The Milam County Sheriff’s Office is getting ready to host its 11th Annual Brown Santa Program beginning Nov. 23.

The Milam County Sheriff’s Office is taking application for those Milam County residents that would like to take advantage of the Brown Santa program.  This is for children ages 2 to 12 only. 

Please bring Medicaid card or a WIC cards with the child (s) name on it, a current utility bill in your name, and a birth certificate for kids not in school. Kids that are in school must present a current report card/progress report. A parent/guardian must have a valid Texas ID. 

Applications can be picked up at the Milam County Sheriff’s Office starting Nov. 23. The last day for applications is Dec. 14.

Pickup and delivery will be on Dec. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. New this year any parent that is able to bring their child (ren) to Walmart in Rockdale on Dec. 18 can participate in Shop With A Cop from 4-7 p.m. Bing your child(ren) and they will be able to pick out their toys for Christmas. 

Anyone interested in donating new, unwrapped toys can bring them to the Sheriff’s Office at 512 North Jefferson in Cameron and ask for Mrs. Adams. The only drop location for toys will be at the Sheriff’s Office.
