County to host tire clean-up event

Milam County residents will have an opportunity to get rid of old junk tires this weekend.
Milam County is sponsoring a free tire clean-up event Saturday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Precinct 3 Barn at 107 N. FM 487 in Rockdale. It was rescheduled from June 5.
County officials will accept automobile tires, farm implement tires, and tractor tires. No truck tires will be accepted and commercial locations are barred.
Anyone that has been cited for Health & Safety code violations is also ineligible.
If you have any old tires on your property, you are invited to drop them off free of charge. This event is made possible through a grant from the Central Texas Council of Governments.
