County to offer free fraud alerts

The Milam County Clerk`s Office has announced they now offer Property Fraud Alerts to the public.
This is a free service being offered to all property owners. To enroll, go online to MilamCounty.net and choose the County Clerk tab under the quick links to county offices. From there, choose search real property records and then create an account for property alerts at the top of the page.
Once you create an account, you will be sent an email to activate your registration.
