COVID UPDATE: County cases on the rise this week

Milam County added 16 new cases on Thursday.

County Judge Steve Young reported Thursday night that the county had two new PCR cases and fourteen new probable cases. Two individuals were discharged from the active list and one person was hospitalized. One person was discharged from a hospital and another was admitted to ICU. 

There are now 73 active cases in the county.

Young said the county tested 50 individuals in Cameron on Thursday with 14 positive results.

Testing will be held in Buckholts today from 8 a.m. to noon. If you are a Milam County resident with COVID symptoms, come see us for a free antigen test.

  1. Confirmed PCR Cases 590 – up 2
  2. Confirmed active PCR Cases 24 – no change
  3. Confirmed probable (antigen) cases 163 – up 14
  4. Confirmed active probable cases 49 – up 14
  5. Total confirmed cases in Milam County 73 up 15
  6. Monitored individuals 178– up 33
  7. Hospitalizations 4 – no change
  8. Deaths 9 – no change
