COVID UPDATE: Few new cases in the last couple days

The new COVID-19 cases in Milam County have slowed down significantly over the last few days.

Yesterday Milam County Judge Steve Young reported that Wednesday saw no new cases, and Thursday on saw one new confirmed PCR test in the county.

"We did have five new probable cases, including four of the eight we tested in Cameron on Thursday," Young said. "No one was admitted to a hospital and one person was discharged."

There are currently four active PCR cases and 17 active antigen cases in the county.

County testing will be in Buckholts fotday from 8 a.m. until noon. If you are someone you know is a Milam County resident with symptoms you can get a rapid test for free.

1.            Confirmed PCR cases 511 – up 1

2.            Confirmed active PCR cases 4 – no change

3.            Confirmed antigen cases 67 – up 5

4.            Confirmed active antigen cases 17 – up 4

5.            Monitored individuals 76 – down 1

6.            Hospitalized 0 – down 1

7.            Deaths 7 – no change
