COVID UPDATE: Monday sees lots of testing
Milam County Judge Steve Young said a lot of COVID testing took place in Milam County on Monday.
He said 101 individuals were tested in Milano through the state, but there are no results as these are sent to a lab.
The county tested 64 individuals with 21 positive results in Rockdale today.
In addition, we had reports of 25 new PCR cases and three new probable cases.
Eight individuals were discharged from the active PCR list and 15 were discharged from the active probable list. Two individuals were admitted to a hospital, but no one was discharged. Finally, we have an additional 18 potential positive results under investigation.
Today there will be testing in Thorndale at the Thorndale VFD from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you are a Milam County resident with COVID symptoms you can get a free COVID antigen test.

- Confirmed active PCR cases 38 up 17
- Confirmed probable (antigen) cases 268 – up 25
- Confirmed active probable cases 31 – down 13
- Total confirmed cases in Milam County 69 – up 5
- Monitored individuals 141 – down 49
- Hospitalizations 4 – up 2
- Deaths 9 – no change

- Confirmed cases: 1,237,635 up 12,517
- Deaths: 21,896
USA Cases:
Yesterday there were 138,903 new confirmed cases, 41,967 recoveries, 826 deaths. The current 7-day rolling average of 162,365 new cases/day grew 4.7 percent from 14 days ago, while the average of 1,430 deaths/day grew 24.5 percent.
