COVID UPDATE: Testing set for Thorndale, only three new cases announced

Milam County saw only a slight uptick in new COVID cases on Tuesday with three new cases being announced.

One person who was hospitalized was released and there were no new hospitalizations.

Active cases sit at 23.

"Statewide the numbers continue to climb as we exceeded 500,000 confirmed cases with a near record one day increase," Milam County Judge Steve Young said.

There will be testing at the Thorndale VFW Hall, 302 FM 486, on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can register at https://texas.curativeinc.com/welcome

  2. Active cases 23 – up 2
  3. Probable cases 15 up 1
  4. Monitored 71 – up 14
  5. Hospitalized 5 – no change – one remains in serious condition
