Cruise-in set for Saturday at airport

The 4th Annual Project Maynardstang Cruise-in benefitting the Muscular Dystrophy Association will be this Saturday, Sept 24, from 4-7 p.m. at Cameron Municipal Airpark.

Free to attend, the cruise-in will feature fun for the whole family.

In addition to classic cars there will be a special plane fly-in. The Morgan Military Aviation Museum Hangar will be open during the cruise-in, and the Spot-Air Hangar will be showing the Texas A&M/Arkansas game on a big screen.

Michael Ranspot and Tailwheel Training Center has donated an intro flying lesson to be raffled at the cruise in.

Food trucks The “G” Wagon and Jazzy J’s Southern Way will be on site serving up food during the cruise-in.

To enter a vehicle in the cruise-in there is a $10 minimum donation, with all proceeds going to MDA. The first 50 entrants will receive a goodie-bag.

Cruise-in sponsors LMR: Late Model Restoration and Bulldog Auto Detailing in Waco will be on hand during the cruise-in to share with attendees more information about their products and services.

Cameron resident Cody Schoppe, who lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, started Project Maynardstang to help raise awareness for muscle diseases through his passion for cars. Project Maynardstang raises funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the disabled.

Merchandise for the cruise-in and Project Maynardstang can be ordered online at projectmaynardstang.com.
