CTCOG looking for input on safe streets and roads projects
The Central Texas Council of Governments (CTCOG) and Killeen-Temple MPO (KTMPO) are steadfast in our commitment to the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) initiative.
This ongoing effort is dedicated to enhancing roadway safety and reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities throughout the CTCOG region, which includes both urban and rural areas in Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Milam, Mills and San Saba Counties.
CTCOG and KTMPO are currently in the process of completing a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan and are requesting input from the public for this initiative.
As demonstrated by recent headlines, safety continues to be a concern in our region. This public input period provides an opportunity for citizens to share their thoughts and potentially influence the development of policies and projects that will shape the future of our transportation system.
To make it easy for community members to comment, CTCOG and KTMPO have developed an interactive map and a survey as tools to gather valuable feedback on specific areas of concern and provide suggestions for improvements. Whether you are a pedestrian, cyclist, driver, or public transit user, your insights are vital.
You can partipate by visiting the Interactive Map and pinpointing locations where you feel safety improvements are needed and provide specific feedback on issues such as crosswalks, bike lanes, and traffic signals.
Share your thoughts on road conditions and safety measures by completing the survey. Your responses will help us prioritize projects for the coming years.

The deadline to complete the survey is 5 p.m. on Aug. 9.
