Goeke honored by Rotary Club

Local businessman Gene Goeke, shown with his wife Renee, was awarded the Rotary District 5870 Distinguished Service Award on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the annual Rotary Foundation Gala in Austin. Goeke received the award for his dedication to the Rotary International Foundation, which awards grants around the world for the betterment of health and education. The award has only been bestowed nine times, and Goeke is the second member of the Cameron club to receive it.
