Holcombe Scholarship available for Milam County college students

Applications are being accepted for the Christine Holcombe Memorial Scholarship. Because of COVID-19 there wasn’t a Mardi Gras Bash to raise funds for scholarship but some generous donors stepped in and donated money so the scholarship program could continue this year.

Applicants must have completed at least one year of college, must be a former Milam county resident and have graduated from a Milam county high school.  Applications are due by June 30, 2021.

Over the past eight years the Chris Holcombe Memorial Scholarship has awarded $103,000 in scholarships to Milam County college students.  The organization appreciates the support the community and will be back in 2022 with another Mardi Gras Bash.
