MCSO gets new equipment

The Milam County Sherrif’s Department added to their tool belt two new automated external defibrillators (AED) last week. The Heartsine backpack allows quick access to the Heartsine AED along with ample space for a stop the bleed kit, a CAT tourniquet and a substantial first aid kit compartment. Numerous law enforcement agencies choose this AED and backpack to carry in their patrol cars for a readiness to respond to SCA (sudden cardiac arrest). These will be carried by MCSO patrol sergeants, once trained. The department’s goal is for every patrol deputy to carry one in the near future.
