MCSO searching for possible drowning victim

Milam County authorities will resume their search for a drowning victim this morning.

Milam County Sheriff Chris White said deputies responded about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, to reports of a drowning in the area of Bryant Station Bridge.

White said a male was swimming with some friends when he went under and never resurfaced.

Fire departments from Buckholts, Cameron, and Davilla were called in to assist in the search.

The search was stopped about 10 p.m. and is expected to resume this morning with the help of the Morgan`s Point Dive Team.
