Payne seeking Precinct 4 Commissioner position
Wesley G. Payne of Thorndale has filed with the Republican Party as a candidate for the office of Milam County Commissioner Precinct 4.
Payne is a lifelong resident of Milam County. He attended and graduated from Rockdale High School as an honor graduate. He was an active member of the FFA where he participated in livestock shows and judging events. His FFA activities have carried over to his current business of raising cattle. After high school graduation he attended TSTC in Waco with a major in Diesel Mechanics. He is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale and is a strong supporter of the Thorndale Fire Department and the local FFA and 4-H youth.
Along with his cattle business he has been employed with Milam County Precinct 3 as an equipment operator and mechanic since 2017. His work with Milam County Precinct 3 has afforded him the exposure needed to gain an in-depth knowledge of road and bridgework. This knowledge and experience in the construction, maintenance and improvement of the county roads and bridges is vital to the office of county commissioner. He has developed extensive knowledge of the equipment needed to do these jobs, the maintenance required for this equipment, and the materials needed to maintain the roads and bridges. He is familiar with and understands what is need to maintain and improve the roads for the people of this precinct.
As the county continues to grow, Milam County Precinct 4 needs a strong leader with the knowledge and understanding needed to handle all the job duties of Milam County Commission Precinct 4. Someone who will work for all of the people on Precinct 4. Wesley Payne has the knowledge, abilities, and desire to do the job of Milam County commissioner Precinct 4.
