Plans announced for Alcoa property

The plan for what is to soon come to the Alcoa property is now known.

Project Management Advisors unveiled their plan for a sustainable development on the more than 32,000 acres of former Alcoa property near Rockdale early this week.

The mixed-use development will be a modern arts, technology, and manufacturing community embedded in the reclaimed landscape to foster innovation. It will include some 10,000 acres of open space, 600 acres of education and civic space, nearly 4,000 acres or 8,500 units of residential use, almost 2,000 acres of retail, 3,300 acres of manufacturing space, and 800 acres of resort to include four golf courses.
