Sale set for Thrasher property

On Friday, Nov. 8, Milam County seized property located at 1300 and 1328 E. Cameron Ave. in Rockdale for the purpose of clean up.

According to County Judge Steve Young, the owner Ira Richard Thrasher was again put in jail.

“Thanks to the outstanding work of Milam County Sheriff Chris White and his deputies for the professional manner in which this operation was conducted,” Young said.

There will be a public auction of anything of value on Wednesday, Nov. 13, beginning at 10 a.m. The auction will be conducted on the premises and all items will be available for inspection beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The auction will be conducted by Bell County Sheriff Eddie Lange.

Young said there are a number of items of value that will be sold, including propane tanks, used vehicles, equipment and many other items. All items to will be sold as is and buyers will be given sufficient time to remove purchased items from the premises.

Checks, credit cards and cash will accepted. All proceeds from the sale will be used to pay for the clean up. Should you have questions, contact Young’s office at (254) 697-7000.
