Services set for woman found in river last week

_{Funeral services are now scheduled for a Cameron woman found dead in the San Gabriel River last week.}

_{Services for 55-year-old Christi Michelle Coufal will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Marek Burns Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with burial at a later date.} 

_{Milam County Sheriff Mike Clore said there are no updates in the case.}

_{Clore said deputies recovered the body of Coufal on Dec. 5 from the river. Deputies had received a report she was missing about 8 a.m. that day and began investigating when the body was discovered in the San Gabriel River.}

_{Clore said the death is being investigated as a homicide until evidence determines otherwise.} 

_{Her son, Colton Coufal, was arrested Dec. 8 on a bond surrender unrelated to the death. He is currently being held in the Milam County Jail according to arrest reports.}
