Bill Harris was sworn in as Cameron’s new mayor during the May 5 City Council meeting. Last Monday council voted to certify that Harris was unopposed in the municipal election for mayor.
Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District announced grants awarded to local Water Utilities in Burleson and Milam Counties on April 28.
Milam County has announced a 19th confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county.
Both locations of the Milam County Tax Office will remain closed to public until further notice. As before, a skeleton crew will be on hand Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Milam County's Shelter in Place orders will expire at 12:01 a.m. on May 8.
