The Cameron Chamber of Commerce welcomed Red Bird Fields with a ribbon cutting on Jan. 26. Red Bird Field is just 30 minutes southeast of Temple, nestled in the oak trees of western Milam County.
Milam County Commissioners declined to allow fireworks to be sold in the county during Texas Independence Day in March during a meeting on Jan. 28.
The Cameron community is invited to read along with CISD students this spring as they begin reading “Bleachers” by John Grisham. The Community Reading Event will kick off Feb.
Cameron will celebrates Opening Day 2019 at The Yards of Cameron Feb. 2.
Filing continues for the May 4 city and school elections. Four city council places and two school board positions are up for grabs.
