Four sentenced for series of December Milam County burglaries

Four people involved in numerous burglaries of a Milam County home have been sentenced in 20th District Court. Haley Madison Lowrey, 19 of Katy; Kathryn Margaret Trevino, 53 of Moody; Michael Don Hamilton, 46 of Belton; and Loggan Bayley Pedigo, 20 of Katy were each sentenced to deferred adjudication for their roles in a series of burglaries at a Milam County home last year. Lowrey was placed on two years deferred adjudication with standard probation conditions, must pay a $500 fine and $21,586 in restitution to the victim in conjunction with her co-defendants, after entering a guilty plea to the lesser included Class A misdemeanor of attempted burglary of a building. Trevino, Hamilton, and Pedigo were each handed five years deferred adjudication with standard probation conditions. In addition, each must pay a $2,500 fine and restitution of $21,586 to the victim in conjunction with their co-defendants. Each of the trio pleaded guilty to seconddegree felony for burglary of a habitation. The four were among several people arrested and indicted in December for the burglaries. Bell County and Milam County deputies arrested many of the individuals over the course of the past month. The arrests and indictments are in connection to the theft of property from a man who had recently died in Milam County. Family members of the deceased had set up video cameras to capture the thefts. A total of 10 people had previously been indicted for engaging in organized criminal activity in connection to the burglaries. Among those indicted but yet to be sentenced are: 63-year-old Robin Brantley Reese of Harker Heights, 32-year-old Clarissa Renee Habib of Rogers, 33-year-old Richard Paul Hays of Cameron, 32-year-old Benjamin Patrick Turner of Temple, 38-yearold Melinda Janette King of Belton, and 48-year-old Edward Louis Kostroun of Belton.
