Rosa Lee Kopriva

Rosa Lee Kopriva, 88, of Cameron, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 4, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Entombment was in the St. Monica’s Mausoleum. Visitation was held Sunday from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Additional viewing was one hour prior to the service on Monday, March 4, at the church. Mrs. Kopriva, a homemaker and seamstress, was born March 9, 1930, in Maraksville, Milam County, to Joe Joseph and Mary (Vanek) Vrazel. She married Frank Anton Kopriva on Nov. 10, 1947, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Schneider, grandson, Kevin Boothe; brothers, Joe Vrazel and Ladis Vrazel; and sister, Angeline Kopriva. She is survived by: sons, Jimmie Kopriva and wife Judy of Cameron, Gene Kopriva and wife Sharon of Academy, and Dennis Kopriva and wife Vickie of Cameron; daughter, Jolene Kopriva of Holland; brothers, Louis Vrazel of Cameron and Leo Vrazel of Rosebud; sisters, Mary Woltman of Cameron, and Annie Susik of Cameron; 10 grandchildren, Amy Harris, Melissa Vaculin, Brian Kopriva, Keith and Nick Schneider, Justin Kopriva, Lindsey Rowe, Jason and Kylee Kopriva, and Katlyn Sumbera; and 14 great-grandchildren, Jazmin and Mason Vaculin, Addison and Peyton Schneider, Haven and Preston Rowe, Kennedy and Karington Kopriva, Kenley Harris, Kohl and Daniston Sumbera, and Claire, Kate and Paige Kopriva. Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
