Market Day at The Yards set for June 22
Mark your calendars for June 22 for Market Day at The Yards.
The first-time event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Yards of Cameron.
There will be competition for the best salsa with adult and youth divisions, as well as best restaurant division. Salsa must arrive at The Yards by the 9 a.m. registration time, judging to begin shortly afterwards and winners announced by 10 a.m.
There will also be a Kids Food Challenge and Food Demonstrations featuring tomatoes and peppers. Local farmers will be onsite with fresh produce, along with local artists and crafters.
A few local vendors that will be there include: Manley Christopher will have a booth selling squash, tomatoes, potatoes, pinto beans, black-eyed peas, hot garlic dill pickles, and an assorted variety of jams, jellies, and salsa; Chuck Wheeler with Rockdale Coffee Roasters will have his Coffee Cart onsite brewing fresh, flavored coffee - hot and cold; and Pamela Neely with Neely Art Studio will have a few of her projects and creations for purchase.
Kids activities and live entertainment will take place throughout the event. Live music will be performed by Charlie Weyler and more.
David Webber will be bringing his recycling truck and will accept items to be recycled, so bring any items you’d like to get rid of.
