At 9 a.m. a free Kid Fish will be offered in Ledbetter Lake by the Texas Parks and Wildlife. Kids can enjoy fishing with poles and bait provided. That will last all morning.
There will also be arts and crafts vendors and food vendors beginning at 9 a.m. A horseshoe and washer tournament will be held in the afternoon with awards for the BBQ Cook-off at 5:30 p.m.
There will be over $5,000 in prizes for the cook-off. Categories include ribs, chicken, brisket and an exotic category.
Willie said the cook-off is one of the biggest in Central Texas. The winner gets an automatic bid to the Kansas City Royal in October. The largest cook-off in the country. The top three finishers will get bids to the National Championship Cookoff in Meridian in October.
