Courthouse Security

Visitors to the Milam County Courthouse will find enhanced security at the entrance. Metal detectors were recently installed at the north entrance to the courthouse across from the County Courtroom. Commissioners approved the purchase of the detectors earlier this year after a request from Milam County Judge Steve Young to increase security at the courthouse after several shootings throughout the state and country.
