Local artist hopes holiday song gets everyone in the spirit

Cameron singer/songwriter Casey D. Stanislaw (aka KCD) is hoping to get everyone in the holiday spirit this year through song.

Stanislaw’s song “Let’s Turn On Christmas” has been making the rounds on Facebook and is now available for streaming.

He said this has been a Christmas miracle. 

“Let’s Turn On Christmas” is now available for streaming on all platforms. 

It was written, performed, and recorded by KCD in Fort Worth last year with the help of producer Jordan Richardson, but it was too late to release in 2018. 

“We have been waiting all year to release the tune, but the video came together really quickly,” he said.

Video producer David Griffin spent the afternoon of Dec. 5 in Cameron and captured KCD’s antics against the backdrop of the annual Christmas parade, local businesses, and even a couple of sheriff’s deputies. 

The video hit the Internet on Monday and garnered over 500 views in one day, with the number still rising.  

“I’m just amazed and humbled at all the folks who helped, and who have liked and shared my tune,” Stanislaw said. “Thank you everyone, and Merry Christmas!”
