City releases utility billing update

From the City of Cameron:

As you recall, our computer system crashed in March 2020. We were rebuilding our system which caused a delay in our water billing.

The most recent bill, mailed Monday, July 13, is for water usage from May 15 – June 15. The payment due date will be July 24, 2020.

The following bills were mailed previously:

• June 24, 2020 was for water usage from April 15 – May 15
• May 28, 2020 was for water usage from March 15 – April 15
• April 28, 2020 was for water usage from February 15 – March 15

We apologize for the delays; however, our staff has worked as quickly as possible to get the billing caught up.

The August 1 bills are set to be sent out on the correct date so we will be officially back on track. The August 1 bill will be for service from June 15-July 15 as we usually bill one month behind.

Penalties and cut-offs will resume in August.
