COVID UPDATE: Active cases go down across county

The active case count for COVID-19 in Milam County fell below 30 on Thursday.
Milam County Judge Steve Young announced four new cases of the virus yesterday, but indicated the active case count went way down.
There are 306 total cases, just 27 are active.
The Milam County Health Department is monitoring 54 people who had close contact with a person that tested positive for the virus.
Four people are hospitalized, including one in serious condition. There have been three deaths from the virus.
