Trunk-or-Treat planned for Oct. 31 in downtown

Trick-or-treaters will still have a chance to join in on Halloween fun this year in downtown Cameron.

The Cameron Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to join in the downtown square in Cameron for a Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat with local businesses all decked out in Halloween style.

The event will take place on Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m.

The route for the Drive-Thru to pick up your child’s bag of candy and see all the Halloween displays will be announced at a later date.

Everyone is asked to participate in the fun by decorating your vehicle as you drive thru for a chance to win the Best Decorated Vehicle.  Only cars and trucks are allowed, no trailers.

Be sure and follow the designated route to enter and exit the Trunk-or-Treat area.

“We will have one point of entrance and one point of exit,” Director Melanie Reed said. “Candy bags sponsored by Classic Bank and participating businesses will be handed out to the number of children in the vehicle.”

Local businesses can participate in the Trunk-or-Treat on the Square by visiting www.cameron-tx.com or visiting the Cameron Chamber of Commerce Facebook page. You can also call the Chamber at (254) 697-4979.

Reed said there are also plans for a business and residential decorating contest and there will be a children’s costume contest.

You are asked to upload your child’s photo by Nov. 2 at noon to enter. Go to cameron-tx.com for more information.
