Chamber launches Lucky Number Raffle to raise funds
Fall usually means its time to get a yummy steak and have some wine on the square with the Cameron Chamber of Commerce, but this year things are a little different.
The Cameron Chamber of Commerce has launched its Lucky Number Raffle to raise funds for this year due to the cancellation of several yearly events.
“This year due to COVID-19, the Chamber cancelled its main fundraiser the Steak, Stein and Wine Festival and since UIL cancelled all tournaments that cancelled our annual Cameron Chamber of Commerce Christmas Basketball Classic,” Chamber Director Melanie Reed said. “Our fundraising committee Lyndi Sanders, and Micah Holcombe came up with a Lucky Number Raffle.”
Reed said Atmos Energy contacted the Chamber and wanted to make a donation so she presented them with the raffle and a couple of other options.
“They liked the raffle as it helps the local businesses and the Chamber,” she said. “The Chamber will purchase the items from the local businesses, promote them during the raffle and hopefully raise money for the chamber.”
The contest features a raffle with 100 lucky numbers. There are only 100 luck numbers available for purchase for $50 a piece.
Available prizes are: Pierce Cooler - $450 Value Purchased from Cameron Farm and Ranch Company; Recliner Shopping - $400 Value - Purchased from Denio’s Furniture, Flooring & Fireplaces; $300 Shopping Spree from The Bling Box Boutique.
Winners will be announced during the Trunk or Treat ‘Drive-Thru’ Parade on Oct. 31
