Milam County Tax Office closed due to COVID exposure

Due to COVID exposure, both locations of the Milam County Tax Office are currently closed.

County Tax-Assessor Collector Sherry Mueck announced on Tuesday that both locations will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Cameron location lobby hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Rockdale Office regular hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Phone messages will be answered as soon as possible, but please be aware that this will take time.

Updates will be posted on Milam County Tax Office Facebook page and we will notify the radio stations.

Please note that this closure does not affect the due date of your taxes. 2020 Taxes are still due by Jan. 31, 2021. Also note that the waiver for late vehicle registration from Governor Abbott is still in effect until April 15, 2021.

You may pay your taxes or register your vehicle online, by mail or drop box at Cameron Office.
