Carol Ann Phillips

Carol Ann Phillips, 80, of Temple and formerly of Rosebud and Milam County, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, in a Gatesville nursing facility.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2021 at Clarkson Cemetery.  Visitation will be noon until 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.

Mrs. Phillips, a photographer, was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Maysfield to William Hopper, Jr. and Annie (Yates) Hopper. She was raised in the Maysfield area and later moved to Houston and Rockdale. She had also worked at the sewing factory in Rosebud. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; by two brothers, William Hopper III and Kelly Wayne Mitchum.

She is survived by: son, Chris Carlisle of Temple; daughter, Pam Krumnow and husband Doug of Temple; sister, Pam Meyer of Houston; four grandchildren, Zak Krumnow, Chad Henderson, Aaron Henderson and Grace Krumnow; one great-grandchild, Zaydan Krumnow.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
