Martha Elena Ramos

Martha Elena Ramos, 53, of Cameron died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in a Temple hospital. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Barry Cuba officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Monica’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ramos, a homemaker, was born in Mexico to Lucio Alvarez Amaya and Magdalena Robles Avila.  She married Francisco Ramos.  She was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church. She had also worked for Cameron ISD for approximately 10 years. 

She is survived by: husband, Francisco Ramos of Cameron; sons, Uriel Ramos of Giddings, Fernando Ramos of Cameron, and Alfredo Ramos of Fayetteville, N.C., daughter, Lucero Ramos of Round Rock; brothers, Humberto Alvarez of Mexico, Jaime Alvarez of Atlanta, Ga., Jorge Luis Alvarez of Mexico, and Josue Alvarez of Georgetown; sisters, Sofia Alvarez of Mexico, Arcelia Martinez of Cameron, Elida Alvarez of Mexico, and Patricia Alvarez of Dominican Republic; and one grandchild.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
