MCSO looking for leads in attempted copper theft

The Milam County Sheriff’s Office is looking for leads in an incident that occurred Saturday night.
“Last night, instead of working for a living, thieves broke into the now closed Luminant-Sandow Power Plant, attempting to steal copper,” Sheriff Mike Clore said in a statement. “They were only successful in damaging $150,000 worth of property. These low lifes were foiled by security last night and again this morning, causing the cowards to flee the scene.”
Sheriff’s deputies located what they believe to be the suspect’s vehicle and are following leads.
