NorCal Ovenworks holds groundbreaking
Cameron celebrated a new business coming to the Cameron Business Park on Friday, May 14, with a groundbreaking ceremony. Cameron Mayor Bill Harris and Cameron Economic Development Corporation Board President Ginger Watkins both spoke, welcoming NorCal Ovenworks to the community. Also, joining in welcoming Gary and Michelle Knackstedt (pictured in the center), NorCal Ovenworks Owners, were Joe Mahan, Citizens National Bank; Jason Dohnalik, EBCO Development; Rhett Parker, City Manager; Kyle Knackstedt, Linda Angel of Workforce Solutions of Central Texas; Stan Bone, EBCO Development; and, Melanie Reed, Cameron Chamber of Commerce. Ginger Watkins, Cameron Industrial Foundation, Executive Director said, “We began working with Mr. Knackstedt in March of 2020 just before the pandemic shut everything down. In spite of the pandemic, this project continued to move forward. The Knackstedts plan to move one of their lines of custom grills and ovens to the facility. They are working with EBCO Development on the new facility and hope to be in the building this fall.”
