William Marcel Walker

Mr. William Marcel Walker, 88, of Buckholts, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at his residence. A graveside service at Friendship Cemetery will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, with Mark Porterfield officiating.

Marcel was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Milam County, to Hiram and Velma (Shelton) Walker. He was a graduate of Sharp High School. He worked for Dickey’s Rentals. Marcel served his country in the United States Army.  He was an avid sports fan.

Survivors include numerous cousins: Terry Shelton of Georgetown; Dennis Shelton of Bryan; Mozelle Doskocil of Val Verde; Barbara Holmes, Phil Shelton, Diana Dennis, Mac Dennis, Russell Dennis Jr., Beverly Shelton Brown, Phyllis Shelton Schroeder, Mickey Bell, and Judy Bell, all of Houston; Donald Shelton and Ronald Shelton, both of Cameron.
