Melisa Ann Muñoz 

Melisa Ann Muñoz, 43, of Buckholts, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at her home.  

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2021. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  

Mrs. Muñoz, a cosmetologist, was born Jan. 8, 1978, in Houston to Joe Gonzales and Barbara (Hawkins) Vansa. She married Santiago Muñoz.  

She is survived by: her husband Santiago “Jimmy” Muñoz of Buckholts; sons, Sammuel Muñoz of Buckholts and Kristopher Muñoz of Germany; daughter, Alyssa Muñoz of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, April Alvarado of Skidmore, Misty Gonzales of Rogers, and Jamie Gonzales of Rogers; half- brother, Jonah Gonzales of Beeville; parents, Joe Gonzales of Beeville and Barbara Vansa of Goldthwaite; and one grandchild, Isaiah Santiago Muñoz.

Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home of Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
