Cross country competes at McGregor Invitational
The Cameron Yoe cross country teams competed in the McGregor 10th Annual Invitational.
The girl’s side competed in the two-mile run against fourteen other schools and finished twelfth overall with a total score of 271.
Yierra Flemings was the first of the Lady Yoe to finish coming in fifth with a time of 12: 36. Logan Pevehouse was next, finishing 26th with a time of 13:36. Alexis Mendoza came in 79th with a time of 16:01. Savannah Nejtek finished 86th with a time of 16:24. Reagan Akin came in 93rd with a time of 17:12. Mirella Alvarez came in 97th with a time of 18:19. Judith Lopez finished 101st with a time of 20:20.
The boy’s team competed in the 5,000-meter run against thirteen schools from 1A-4A and finished in second place with an overall score of 70.
Nathan Evens was the first in the entire meet to finish with a time of 16:07. Damon Flemings finished eighth with a time of 17:28. Brady Havens finished fourteenth with a time of 17:51. Joshua Jochec came in 22nd with a time of 18:20. Brock Wright came in 27th with a time of 18:44. Tracer Lopez was right behind Wright at 28th with a time of 18:47. Cesar Munoz finished at 77th with a time of 21:35. Zachary Frausto came in 85th with a time of 22:08. Bruce Jacoby finished 102nd with a time of 28:30. And Hayden Marrs finished 104th with a time of 31:45.
Cameron’s next event was yesterday Sept. 15 at Cameron for the Milam County High School Triangular that included Milano and Rockdale.
