Lady Yoe volleyball defeats Scurry-Rosser to claim area championship

_{The Lady Yoe volleyball team defeated Scurry-Rosser High School in the area round of the volleyball playoffs at Groesbeck High School on Thursday night.}

_{The ladies defeated the Lady WIldcats in 3-1.}

_{They won the first set 25-12, The Lady Wildcats came back to win the second set by a close 26-24. The Lady Yoe then won the last two sets 25-23 and 28-26.}

_{Ainsley Driska had 28 kills on the night. Haley Tucker had 20 kills and 16 digs. Kaly White had 13 digs and 56 assists. Kirsten Miren had 17 digs.}

_{The Lady Yoe will move on to face Lorena in the next round. The game is set for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Temple High School.}

_{This is the first time since 2014 the Lady Yoe have been this deep in the playoffs.}
