Downtown Cameron business expanding offerings
A downtown Cameron business is expanding just in time for the holiday season.
Chelle’s Antiques and Décor will open its second store across the street from the original one on Dec. 4 in downtown. The store will separate into Chelle’s Décor and Gifts at 118 N. Houston and Chelle’s Antiques and Gifts at 118 N. Houston.
“We outgrew this location with our antiques,” Chelle’s owner Michelle Fiscella said. “The demand from our customers has allowed us to provide furniture and bigger antiques in the new store.”
Fiscella said that the support from the community and her clients has allowed the expansion across the street.
“The support we have seen has been wonderful,” she said. “We believe in this community and they really supported us during COVID. We want to offer more here and give the local community a place to shop.”
Fiscella said she has seen the demand for antiques and that there are several customers that are visiting that are headed through from Houston to other areas and always stop in.
“Our clientele has been rising in the area,” she said.
She said her entire family is involved in the business and focused on it.
“We have a passion for God at the center of our work and my family is involved and focused on it,” she said. “With them backing you, you can do anything. We hope to inspire others to say if they can do it, we can do it.”
Chelle’s Antiques and Décor is open daily in downtown Cameron at 117 and 118 N. Houston Street.
