History Lands in Cameron

A PT 26 World War II plane landed at the Cameron Municipal Airport on Thursday, Feb. 10. The plane will be included in the future Morgan Aviation Museum at the airport. The Cameron City Council approved moving forward with granting Dr. Richard Morgan and his wife Nanette space at the Cameron Municipal Airport to open a museum in the empty hangar at the airport in July 2021. Morgan said the museum would renovate the hangar and bring the electrical systems up to code for a cost of about $50,000. The city will abate rent to the museum for that cost until that is paid up, then they will pay rent.
