Kirk sentenced for forgery

Kenneth Paul Kirk, 67, of Cameron, was sentenced to two years confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ and ordered to pay $150,000 in restitution to multiple victims after a sentencing hearing in Judge John W. Youngblood’s 20th Judicial District Court.  Kirk pled guilty on 9-9-2021 to Forgery of Financial Instrument.   

After Kirkdelivered cashier’s checks totaling  $150,000 restitution to the victims, his brother’s widow and a former business partner, the court has revised Kirk’s sentence. Judge John W. Youngblood revised the jail term to 40 days in the Milam County Jail on Friday.  

Kirk will serve two years in the State Jail Division of TDCJ, probated for four years with standard conditions of probation including the 40 days confinement in the Milam County Jail as a condition of probation.  

Kirk is to turn himself in today to begin the revised sentence.
