Yoe Cross Country teams do well at Triangular Meet
The Lady Yoe Cross Country team took the top prize at the Milam County Triangular last week in Cameron. The boys took second place.
The Triangluar consisted of Cameron, Rockdale, and Milano.
The girl’s team finished in first place with a combined total of 22 points.
Yierra Flemings was the first runner to cross the finish line, finishing first with a time of 9:24. Right behind her was Brittani Drake, finishing in second with a time of 9:28. Up next was Logan Pevehouse in fourth with a time of 9:57. Seally Smith finished fifth with a time of 12 minutes even. Up next was Kinzie Williford in 14th with a time of 11:29. The last to finish for Cameron was Kiera Land, finishing 17th with a time of 12:12.
The boy’s team finished in second place with a combined total of 33 points. Damon Flemings was the first runner for Cameron to cross the finish line, coming in third place with a time of 10:44.4. Up next was Brady Havens, finishing in fifth with a time of 10:44.6. Finishing next was Joshua Jochec in seventh with a time of 10:59. Zachary Frausto was next, finishing in eighth with a time of 12 minutes even. Ricardo Reyes was next, finishing in 10th with a time of 20:34. Brock Wright finished 12th with a time of 12:05. The last to finish for Cameron was Cesar Munoz, finishing 17th with a time of 13:04.
Cameron’s next meet will be on Sept. 24 and they will be hosting their 40th Annual Invitational. It will be located at the Cameron Junior High.
