Yoe Cross Country teams headed to State
The Yoe Cross Country teams are headed on to the State Meet after a great showing at the Regional Meet on Oct. 25.
The boys team finished in third place with a combined total of 159 points.
Damon Flemings was the first runner for Cameron to cross the finish line, coming in 12th place with a time of 17:25. Next was Brady Havens, finishing in 14th with a time of 17:36. Finishing next was Joshua Jochec in 18th with a time of 17:47. Zachary Frausto was next, finishing 62nd with a time of 19:17. Brock Wright was next to cross, finishing in 69th with a time of 19:29. Ricardo Reyes finished 78th with a time of 19:39. The last to finish for Cameron was Cesar Munoz, finishing 123rd with a time of 20:41.
The girls team finished in second place with a combined total of 105 points.
Yierra Flemings was the first runner for Cameron to cross the finish line, finishing fifth with a time of 13:10. Shortly after her was Brittani Drake, finishing in seventh with a time of 13:15. Logan Pevehouse finished 18th with a time of 13:32. Seally Smith was next in 30th with a time of 13:53. Up next was Kinzie Williford, finishing in 69th with a time of 14:37. The last to finish for Cameron was Olutumi St.Mathew-David, finishing 136th with a time of 16:09.
Both teams qualified for state, and the State Meet will be on Friday, Nov. 4, in Round Rock.
