Meeting set to discuss Quiet Zone

The City of Cameron will host a public information meeting regarding a quiet zone grant at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 in the Cameron Chamber of Commerce.
The purpose of this meeting is to share information about the city`s quiet zone grant application to create a quiet zone in the city in order to promote economic development while increasing safety at railroad crossings.
The City is also seeking input from residents about the quiet zone during the meeting.
The Chamber is located at 102 E First Street in downtown Cameron.
